From January 31st to February 1st, MISMA participated in the IX International Conference "Fish. Aquaculture: The present and future of the industry", organized by the publishing house "Sphere" in Saint Petersburg.
MISMA, as a partner of the business program at the event, presented a report "Prospects for the use of feed additives in fish farming".
The head of the technical department at the company, Yulia Yezerskaya, presented a feeding program that focuses on maintaining the health of fish intestines and increasing the digestibility of food nutrients. This program aims to reduce the feed coefficient and increase animal safety.
The improvement of these indicators can be achieved by adding feed phytase and butyric acid, in the form of sodium butyrate, to fish diets.
The report presented the results of experiments demonstrating an increase in body weight gain rate, an increase in protein digestibility, and a decrease in mortality under stressful conditions and diseases.
At the end of her talk, Yulia Yezerskaya answered questions and gave recommendations on the use of feed additives for Russian aquaculture enterprises.
We would like to thank the organizers of the conference for their invitation and the opportunity to share experiences with industry leaders.
