α-amylase breaks down starch in the intestine and improves the absorption of dietary energy from plant-derived feed ingredients. Alpha-amylase compensates for the lack of endogenous amylase synthesis in animals, contributing to better absorption of starch.
Alpha-amylase contributes to:
- increase the energy nutritional value of the feed
- Increasing the productivity of pigs and poultry
- Improved feed conversion.

Misma Zym A is characterized by high thermal stability and does not lose activity during granulation and expansion of feed up to 90°C.
