The feed additive is designed to protect raw materials and feed from contamination by fungi and bacteria.
Propionic acid has a pronounced fungicidal effect, has a detrimental effect on the development of mold and yeast fungi, reduces the number of cases of infection with mycotoxins, and also has a bacteriostatic effect. Ammonium propionate is a salt of propionic acid and enhances its fungicidal effect.
