Protected methionine feed additive. A rumen‑protected methionine that resists degradation in the harsh environment of the forestomachs and is released in the small intestine. The active substance is DL‑methionine, a synthetic form of the essential amino acid methionine, with an activity of at least 75%.
DL‑methionine contained in the feed additive is utilized by the animal's body for muscle protein synthesis. It also participates in the synthesis of carnitine, proteins, hormones, enzymes and vitamins, thereby supporting animal health, improving productivity and increasing milk protein content. To prevent breakdown, methionine is protected by a fat coating. The palm oil‑based protected form allows methionine to be more effectively absorbed in the intestine, avoiding degradation in the rumen of ruminants. This ensures higher bioavailability and superior feed additive efficiency.
