Biopromis Selenium 4000 is a feed additive for enriching the diets of farm animals, including poultry and fish, with selenium.
Biopromis Selenium 4000 is pure L-selenomethionine on a carrier. L-selenomethionine has a higher biological availability compared to inorganic selenium sources. Selenium, as a trace element, participates in enzymatic antioxidant systems, in particular, it is part of glutathione peroxidase, thioredoxin reductase and other selenoproteins. The organic form of selenium is easily absorbed by the body and enters the tissues in the form of structural proteins, being a reserve of selenium in an accessible form.
